Founded in 2001 by award-winning director and cinematographer Clay Westervelt, Imaginaut Entertainment started as both a production company and a crew booking service that booked hundreds of crews on shoots before finally splitting into two companies. Thus Martini Crew Booking was created in 2008 as an answer to the growing need for courteous, intelligent crews with personality. Each company benefits tremendously from its relationship with the other giving both companies an advantage over their competitors.
Imaginaut Entertainment is a pioneer of independent filmmaking. Whether through sponsorships of schools and festivals or through partnerships with other production companies, we are always looking for opportunities to support the independent filmmaking community. We have helped produce dozens of short films including Fool Me Once, winner of the Audience Award for Best Actress at MethodFest, and El Tux, winner of the HBO/NYILFF Short Film Competition.
Imaginaut Entertainment has worked closely with the Screen Actors Guild Foundation since 2004, producing over 150 episodes of Conversations, an actor legacy program, as well as 20 episodes of the critically acclaimed children’s web series Storyline Online. Most recently we produced the new SAG Foundation promo that premiered live at the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.
In 2009, Imaginaut Entertainment’s first fully self-financed feature documentary called Popatopolis premiered at the Dances With Films Festival in Hollywood and internationally at the Raindance Film Festival in London. The film follows director Jim Wynorski as falling budgets force him to make an exploitative feature film, The Witches of Breastwick, in just three days!
As we continue through 2010, look forward to another feature film and maybe a tv pilot or two coming from Imaginaut Entertainment. Interested in learning more? Use the contact page to find out what we can add to your next project.
