Pancho Barnes lands in Edwards Airforce Base

Martini Crew Booking would like to congratulate The Legend of Pancho Barnes and the Happy Bottom Riding Club. NASA screened the film for its employees, and after a very warm reception, the crew was invited to tour the Dryden Research Facility. We were treated to views of some of history's fastest vehicles, and tales of magnificent machinery, and the amazing people behind them. The highlight was climbing into NASA's F-18 simulator and bailing out at 30,000 feet. On purpose, of course.

There will be a special screening of The Legend of Pancho Barnes and the Happy Bottom Riding Club to benefit Heritage Square, the Pasadena Museum of History and the KOCE-TV Foundation on February 25 at Laemmle’s Playhouse 7 Theater in Pasadena.

Pageant

Congratulations to Ron Davis and Stewart Halpern, on their award winning documentary, Pageant. Pageant had a limited theatrical release and some wonderful reviews in early 2009 after making a splash at Slamdance and festivals around the country.

This hilarious and heartbreaking story of five contestants vying for the title of "Miss Gay America" is now on DVD, available through Blockbuster and Netflix - but later this year you'll catch Pageant on The Sundance Channel - watch for it!

HollyShorts Film Festival

Congrats to Jarrett Lee Conaway for his short, Turbo, which was awarded Best Student Short Film at the 5th annual HollyShorts Film Festival.

Congratulations to Bryan Donnell for his Emmy nomination in Outstanding Cinematography for Reality Programming for his work as the Director of Photography on the gripping show, Intervention on the A&E Network. You were robbed! You should've won!
